I am sitting now Quiet, trying to compose Doesn’t matter how With poetry or prose My own mind In that moment of bereft Why you were suddenly kind? And then you left In that play You see, About who’s more dominant Corridors length can cause pain And now we’ll stay Divided by sea And a continent Until we see again. As if a few days of waiting Were not enough of testing If I finally bend Now for weeks you’re breaking And that’s contesting Of my strength Anyway, I don’t need reprieve. Won’t beg you come back. Won’t slack Or just wait here naive Counting on my luck Losing the track I’ll be working a lot And gearing quite up Will fight I will check what I got All resources I tap In that plight I will “fill the unforgiving minute With 60 seconds’ worth of distance run” Every hour and each day As the poem had it in it On the cup you had for fun When we started to play.
